Organising and Movement Building

We believe we can not solve a problem if we don't know it exists and our primary role as Sustain267 in addressing the climate crisis is ensuring that people know about climate change and the power they hold to respond to it.

By engaging communities, with an approach centered on African feminist values and human rights, we seek to mobilise people to act on climate action and demand climate action to those who hold the power to act at a large scale, nationally and globally.

Corporate gifting is aimed at educating organisations team on how to consume more sustainably through providing options on environmentally friendly options of items teams use and how they consume them.

We mostly target environmental commemorative day as World Environment Day, World Earth day as an opportunity to highlight to environmental and climate issues.

Tree Planting

We have a tree-planting initiative that encourages and supports tree-planting activities by organizations and schools. The tree planting is paired with a short presentation on climate change; what it is, what it means for us and our livelihoods, and how we may combat it in our community.

Talks and Lectures

In the spirit of conversation and communication as a tool for advocacy, we participate in panels, regionally and internationally in an effort to advance and advocate for climate action and climate justice in all spheres of development.

Additionally, in an effort to share knowledge about the climate crisis and climate action, we host talks in schools, communities, and companies to invite all, to act on climate.

#CleanUpBW

Community-based monthly litter-picking activity, founded on Africa Day 2019.

The campaign aims to make our living spaces cleaner, encourage responsibility amongst citizens for our environment, and, over time, positively change the attitude of Batswana towards littering and maintaining a litter-free living environment.

Our Story

Sustain267 began as a podcast platform rooted in one clear mission: to amplify African voices in climate action. From the start, we’ve advocated for sustainable development through a gendered lens, positioning it as a pillar of progress on the continent. Through the Sustain267 Podcast, we created a space where people on the frontlines of climate change can share their experiences and ideas.

Today, Sustain267 has grown into a dynamic movement engaging in on-the-ground climate activism, strategic organising, ESG consulting, and community education across Africa and beyond. We are proudly active in Botswana, South Africa, and support global projects through virtual collaborations and partnerships.
